RMS Utility Services is ready to help you on your next hot tapping project.  We offer our service in a wide range of diameters ½” thru 60” under pressure connections.  Our full service includes cleaning and preparing the pipe, mounting the sleeve, installing the valve and pressure testing for integrity.  With our boom truck we are self-sufficient and don’t require you to tie up your people at the jobsite.

Notable Projects

12" Line stop on HDPE pipe

Crown Point, IN: RMS was called to isolate a 12" HDPE forcemain that needed to be tied in to a new forcemain at the pump station. The line stop allowed the contractor to make the connection with minimum use of a vactor truck to control the excess overflow of the forcemain. We used a 12" x 8" reduced port line stop fitting with a 10" folding head to match the inside diameter of the HDPE pipe saving the client material and labor costs and allowing them to get their job done more efficiently.

Pipe Freezing
Pipe freezing, also known as cryo-plugging, is a non-intrusive method of developing temporary pipe isolations. Ideal in areas offering limited space for traditional line isolating techniques, freezing is effective on a number of different pipe types. See our flyer on Pipe Freezing
